Subject: I love you! Received: Thu Nov 5 02:14:26 1998 From: poohbear493@juno.com (Anna C Naylor) Hey Jake! I'm sorry that the package didn't get there yet. I tried to get it out, but I didn't have any money to send it. That's why mom is sending it from San Diego. It's a long story about the money, but we won't worry about that right now. I hope you like the other tapes that I sent besides Handel's "Messiah" and the other two Christmas tapes. I like them and thought that you might like them too. Is there any other music you want? If so, just let me know and I will do my best to get it to you. There isn't too much going on around here. I am still looking for a job. I had an interview at the Disney Store the other day. I'll let you know how that turned out. I hope that I get the job. I should be working there anyways. It's where I belong. I love Disney and I could work there every day. How is the weather down in Texas? It's getting colder up here and all of the leaves are changing colors. I think that I will send you a picture of the mountains. Do you want any other pictures? I want to finish up the roll of film that I have in my camera, so let me know if there are any specific pictures you want. I am still keeping busy with school. There is always homework coming out of my ears. I can't wait until finals are over. I am ready to move on with new classes. It seems like I go to school more than I used to, but I think that I am just keeping busy with it. School in the morning, homework in the afternoon, and then class at night too. I guessI am doing school stuff all the time. Well, I will write more later when there is something exciting to tell you about. I love you and hope to hear from you soon. Off to do homework. I miss you and always pray for you. Well, for now, TTFN....ta-ta-for-now. Love always, Christie Subject: hey boss! Received: Thu Nov 5 12:25:28 1998 From: "benjamin sigg" Hey Jacob! Sorry I didn't get a chance to write to you last week! Truth is, I've been so busy, that it just completely slipped my mind that I haven't written you yet! ARGH! But anyway, here goes!! :) Alrighty now...let's see what's been happening... I recently purchased a CD-R, a scanner and a color printer! :) I'm having SO much fun! :) It's rad! I actually burned a CD for Mom of the music from Dad's funeral and then scanner some pictures of him and printed them out on photo paper to make a jewel case. It turned out REALLY cool! You would be impressed with my Poobah-abilities! :) I had to max out my credit card to buy all the stuff, but hey, everyone makes sacrifices! :P hehehe! Um...let's see...Work has been going well. Did I tell you they hired another girl? Her name is Susan and she is SOOOOO much better than Kristy was! She actually FITS IN to the office! It's amazing! We just have a good time together, which is very nice! :) And...let's see...I'm still looking at that same townhouse as before. DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THIS?? I think I did...I HOPE I DID! Anyway, I'll say it again just in case. I am looking at getting a townhouse over off of Aero Drive in San Diego, right off of the 15 freeway. The place is really kewl! It's got nice, tall ceilings, and you have to like walk up a huge flight of stairs to get to the actual house, so it's kinda like a New York-style apartment! It's really kewl tho! You'd love it! THe only problem is that I can't put a deposit down on one in the next phase until December, so as of now, I'm still uncertain as to whether or not I will even be able to get into one! I certainly hope so!! They're supposed to start building them in December and they are supposed to be ready for move-in in June, so that will be pretty nice...have my own place for parties over the summer!!! Too bad you won't be here until DECEMBER NEXT YEAR!!!!! oh well... I have found out from work that I will be working from 8:30-12:30 on Christmas Day. It would work best for me if you call my house after about 1:15 Pacific time, becuase that way I will be sure to be here and I would be able to talk without having to worry about customers or anything! I do, however, realize that your schedule may now be flexible. So, if you can call either before 8 in the morning or after 1:15 in the afternoon, call (619)445-4040. If you can't, call between about 9:00 and 12:30 at (619)231-1515 x4256. The rest of the time I will be commuting, so I just hope that it will all work out! I did get your message last week, and I will try to give you call sometime, it's just that I'm gone all the time and never have time to call you except when it would be REALLY late back there and I don't want to call you then, because I know that you have to wake-up early. Let's see...this past Friday I had a pretty good time! I met a bunch of people from IRC for a party. Actually, I went and hung out with my friend Lizette who goes to UCSD for most of the afternoon, and then we met a bunch of other people for dinner down at Ichiban in Hillcrest. Then, we all walked down to Euphoria, which is a little coffee shop a couple blocks down. Then, after that, we all went down to my friend Mike's place and some people got drunk off their ASSES! It was really fun tho...I didn't drink that much, because I had to drive home...I stayed there until almost 2 in the morning tho, and I had to go to work early the next morning, which kinda sucked! But oh well. Then, tonite, Krissy from work is having a suprise birthday party for her boyfriend Tom, so I'm going to go over there and help her get ready and stuff after I get out of Latin class. It should be fun! The theme is "Hawaiian Luau" so I think we'll all have a good time! Plus, the partied in Ocean Beach with free beer, so how could it not be? :) Drunk people are so funny to watch! I myself have never GOTTEN drunk, but I just love watching the people who completely loose it! heheheh! Well, I think that's really all that's going on for now! Christmas is coming up FAST tho! AAAHHH! I do have a couple things for you already. :) But I havne't even STARTED shopping for anyone else! I'm in deep trouble here!! I gotta leave for class now though...I'll talk to you later, bud!! Su Amigo, Travis Subject: I love you. Received: Tue Nov 10 01:21:56 1998 From: poohbear493@juno.com (Anna C Naylor) Jake!! Nothing too exciting going on around here right now. I got a job at the Disney Store for the holiday season. I am really excited for it. I might be getting another job too, but I'll let you know more about it if I get the job. I think I will find out today. Nothing really new going on. I'm ready for class changes still. I can't wait until I get a new schedule. I am so excited for the semester to end. Well, I'll write more later, but for now, I gotta get off to my interview. I love you cutie. I miss you too. *hugs and kisses* Christie Subject: HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE Received: Sat Nov 14 17:51:42 1998 From: poohbear493@juno.com (Anna C Naylor) HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read, "HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE". I got a little closer the door came open wide, and when I came to myself I was standing inside. I saw a host of ANGELS. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My Child shop with care". Everything a Christian needs was in that grocery store. And all you couldn't carry, you could come back the next day for more. First, I got some PATIENCE: LOVE was in the same row. Further down was UNDERSTANDING: you need that everywhere you go. I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I just couldn't miss the HOLY GHOST, for it was all over the place. I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race. By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some GRACE. I didn't forget SALVATION, for SALVATION was free, so I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. Then I started up to the counter to pay my grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do the MASTER'S will. As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER: and I just had to put that in, for I knew when I stepped outside, I would run into sin. PEACE AND JOY were plentiful; they were last on the shelf. SONG and PRAISE were hanging near, so I just helped myself. Then I said to the angel, "Now, how much do I owe?" He smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go." Again, I smiled and said, "How much do I really owe?" He smiled again and said, "MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG, LONG TIME AGO." "ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER YOU SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YOU SHALL RECEIVE." (MATTHEW 21:22) Subject: Sweet and Nice Received: Mon Nov 16 14:26:44 1998 From: elderdixon@lycosmail.com **** This is a letter written in response to a letter from Elder Dixon's Girlfriend saying that she had met a Boy named Aaron who is sweet and nice... by combining our creative powers he and I came up with the story. This is what goes through a missionary's mind when he gets a dear john letter **** Dear Esther After recieving your most recent email it has come to my attention that you do in fact have a new friend named Arron who is both sweet and nice. Upon analyzing three words (friend, sweet, nice) it has come to me by means of revelation both the background and the relationship of your new sweet and nice friend. The story is made up, but the names are real. humor me if you will.......... It's a crisp fall morning on the campus of Weber State University and a young Esther Bowden has an hour break in her tuesday morning routine between her english class and her ballet class. She purchases a slice of bread from a small booth down stairs in the union building and sits down to warm up and relax before her next class. The bread is warm and the rasberry honey butter is sweet and nice. Thoughts drift and she remembers a "friend" she has some where near the border of mexico; she decides to write him a short note. The letter contains the basics, greetings, reports, complaints, desires. The warm air of the building has an effect upon her and it entrances her to fall into a nice cat nap. She awakes with a sneeze, glances at the watch on her right arm, it yells "you're late" She studies the watch on the left arm and it tells her the same. In a hurry to get up, the books on her lap fall to the floor with a thump and causes somewhat of a distraction. A youngman, clean faced and secure, helps her with the books. She thanks him and hurrys off, leaving a glass slipper, or a half written letter to a "friend" on the ground. The youngman can't help but watch her as she runs up the stairs, he hates to see her go, but he loves to watch her leave. He notices the letter. He picks it up. The entire day Arron could not keep his mind focused on his studying. The thoughts of this red sweatered girl keep him on the look-out everywhere he went. It seemed a lost cause in such a large campus. Latter that night he was invited with some friends to a concert put on by the university symphonic band. The concert was good but even better he spoted her. She was clothed in a sleek, black dress blowing air into a black instrument on the third row on the stage. After the concert she was surrounded by friends and as soon as he got close enough to speak to her she disapeared. He asked his friends her name and finds out it comes from a small unknown book in the Bible-Esther, it has a nice ring to it. A couple days pass and nothing has happened. Aaron is in the Library looking for a book for "The Scarlet Letter" to read for his litiriture class. While walking across the rows of books he notices a lone Librarian at the end of a non-fiction section, reshelving books about phycology. His takes a double take to make sure his eyes aren't teasing him and darts down the adjacent row. He walks calmly down the row and turns at the end, her cart is placed in such a manner that he could not possibly get by. He utters a simple "Madame Librarian?" She's heard this before and looks up starteled. "Yes." she replies. "I'm looking for a book, perhapes you can help me." He looks familiar to her but can't remember why. It doesn't matter, she is getting tired of everyone thinking she has all the books memorized, but still she responds with a friendly, "I can try." "It's called 'How to ask a librarian out on a date' by S. Wheat and Nie Se. I'd realy like to take a librarian out some day and learn the skills of a book-putter-backer. " She blushes and thinks to herself, 'How sweet and nice of him', but decides against it and says "Hmmmmm.....I don't think we have that book." "Great!" he blurts out, pretending not to understand the rejection, "I'll pick you up here, we'll go to a nice dinner. it'll be fun, I can wear a suit and you'ld look awsome in a red fur coat. Friday at 6:00. I'll be waiting." he says as he walks away, not waiting for a response. 'What just happened' she thinks, .................. What will happen next? Will Esther go on the date with a strange familiar face or will she decide to stay home and write a letter to a "Friend" and what's up with the red fur coat? Such mysteries as these can only be solved with time. Find out next time, this has been Jalliel Johnson reporting live from some where in the Medateranian. This show has been brought to you by the letter a and the numbers 6 and 1240098700098. Come back soon ya'hear. Thanks for coming, better luck next time. live long, prosper, play golf, and eat cheese. Received: Tue Nov 17 02:08:17 1998 From: poohbear493@juno.com (Anna C Naylor) Jake, Boy have I got something to tell you. I don't remember if I have told you much about Brian, but there is a lot to say now. I think that he is the one I am going to marry. It seems strange to say that, but I really think that we are going to get married. Don't worry, though. We will not get married until after you get home from your mission. I even think that I will wait until I am 20 to marry him. He has not been active in the church for the past 6 years, but he has started going to church with me. He knows how important it is to me to get married in the temple and he agrees that he wants to marry me for time and all eternity. Thing is, he was baptized when he was 8, but the church has somehow lost his records. I guess that means that he is going to have to get baptized again. I am going to try to get the missionaries to do the discussions with him. If he is going to have to get baptized again, I want it to be before April. That way, we can get married after at least a year. Does all this sound really strange? It probably does, but I can't help it. I have never felt so much love towards someone outside of my family. It's a special kind of love too. Mom and dad and Megan have all met him. They all seem to think he's a pretty nice guy. One question though......how do I tell mom and dad that I think Brian is the one I am going to marry? I even think that there is going to be a promise ring for Christmas. It's pretty serious, and I think I need to tell them before the ring comes along. I have met Brian's mom, dad, step-dad, and future step-mom and we all get along really well. I especially love his mom. Brian is going to meet the rest of the family when they come up for Thanksgiving. I think he will even get to meet Grandma Pugsley then too. After, or before that, we are going to do something with his family. I am going to meet most of the family on thanksgiving. I'm a little nervous, but I'm not going to let it bother me too much. So, you are my big brother...what do you think of all this? Have I completely scared you now? I need some brotherly advice. I will send some pictures as soon as they are developed. Then you can tell me what you think. If you want, I can give you his e-mail address. Or you can just tell me what he needs to write to you. You sad you were going to have a questionnaire. Is that still true? Let me know what you think because I really value your opinion. I love you so much. I'll write more later, but I gotta run for now. I have to get to work. Oh yeah....I forgot to tell you. I now have three jobs. I am working at Easter Seals still, The Disney Store for holiday help, and the newest job is as a receptionist for Sandy Counseling Center. I haven't really started at the Disney Store because my uniform is not in. I love the new job though. THe people there are really nice and I love my hours. Well, I really do gotta get going for now. I will write more later. I love you. Love always, Christie XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
