Spanish Language Mastery Award The Lord has promised that "every man shall hear the fullness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language, through those who are ordained unto this power, by the administration of the Comforter, shed forth upon them for the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Doctrine and Covenants 90:11) The Lord has called you to learn a foreign language in order to preach his gospel in the Texas McAllen Mission. As you complete the following requirements, the Lord will bless you with a greater understanding of the Spanish language and a greater ability to communicate by his spirit. You have been commanded by the Lord to "open thy mouth at all times, declaring my gospel with the sound of rejoicing." (Doctrine and Covenants 28:16) by studying the Spanish Language, the Lord will be able to fill your mouth with the things that will touch the hearts of your investigators and those you teach.
